IoT Communication-as-a-Service Plans
IoT Communication-as-a-Service provides a number of different connectivity plans that allow Things to send messages between themselves and the Thingstream MQTT broker hosted in the cloud.
These connectivity plans are based on the technology used to communicate, and whether connectivity is supplied as part of the plan.
MQTT Anywhere plans:
Use cellular technology
Have bundled connectivity
Have their access credentials embedded into a SIM card supplied by Thingstream
Include blocks of MQTT-SN messages for a fixed monthly fee
Can be enabled and disabled at any time
Can be switched at any time
MQTT Now plans:
For MQTT clients that connect over the internet
Do not include connectivity
Access credentials are available within the Thingstream management console
Include blocks of MQTT messages for a fixed monthly fee
Can be enabled and disabled at any time
Can be switched at any time
MQTT Here plans:
For LoRaWAN devices
Do not include connectivity
Access credentials are embedded on the devices and configured within the Thingstream management console
Include a pooled block of MQTT Here messages for a fixed monthly fee, with a per message overage fee
LoRaWan Things can switch between plans at any time
